Location

Based in the Poitou-Charentes region of France, we are located in Brettes, a small village situated in the relaxing countryside of Charente, only 10 mins from Ruffec with its many shops & restaurants. You can use the + - and direction buttons to move around the maps or View Larger Map

 

Local area facilities include:

A lake at Villefagnan, with man made beach for swimming, fishing or just soaking up the sun.

Horse riding and tennis are also available nearby.

Brettes is served by a traditional fresh bread delivery van, which enters the courtyard for your convenience.

Villefagnan (3kms), has a chemist, two small supermarkets and bakers.

 

Places To Visit

Cognac, Angoulême (40 mins) and the seaside towns of Royan (90 mins) and La Rochelle (90 mins) are all within easy reach for a day trip. Don’t forget to visit the FuturoScope science theme park, near Poitiers, fun for all the family.

 

Travelling To Charente

Ferry: Calais, or St. Malo (overnight crossing). St. Malo overnight crossing is recommended.
Air: Paris (5 hrs), Poiters (45 mins), Angouleme (40mins) or La Rochelle (90 mins). You will need a hire car from the airport.
